CM Malaga, the Culture & Museums International Tech Forum was a momentous event for Visitr, allowing us to share our innovative app and experiences with a diverse audience. The fair aims to promote the integration of technology in cultural practices, empowering the sector to embrace new dimensions and harness its potential for development.
We were thrilled to witness the remarkable services and proposals showcased by the numerous companies in attendance.
We had an amazing time at CM Malaga, happening on June 19-20, 2023. At our booth, we proudly presented Visitr, our innovative app that revolutionizes virtual tours. The fair showcased over 80 companies, each offering exciting services for the cultural sector. Its primary objective is to elevate culture to a new level by making it sustainable, and accessible, and amplifying its influence as a catalyst for economic and social progress. From exploring museums in the metaverse to immersing in the art of Frida Kahlo through virtual reality, CM Malaga displayed the possibilities of technology. However, among all the talk about virtual reality and artificial intelligence, we also discussed finding a balance between technology and the physical art experience.
Presenting the power of Visitr
Our excitement was obvious as we set up our stand at CM Malaga. We welcomed a steady stream of visitors, eager to discover the future of cultural exploration.
It was a pleasure to showcase the power of Visitr to a diverse crowd, and we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Museo Canario, Museo de Cera de Barcelona, Casa Vicens Gaudí, and Museo Automovilístico y de la Moda for their participation in our app.
Their invaluable contributions enriched our app with captivating content, allowing users to delve into the fascinating world of culture.
A Vibrant Combination of Offerings
CM Malaga brought together a diverse range of companies, each with its own vision for the cultural sector. We were amazed by a metaverse experience that recreated museum settings, blurring the lines between the real and virtual worlds. And who could forget ‘The Dreams of Frida Kahlo,’ where attendees got to step into her art through virtual reality? The fair demonstrated the exciting ways technology can enhance cultural exploration.
Finding Harmony Between Technology and Tradition
While we celebrated the advancements in virtual and augmented reality, CM Malaga also reminded us of the importance of preserving the authenticity of physical art spaces. We engaged in discussions about maintaining the charm of museums, galleries, and cultural landmarks, even in the age of technology. It became clear that technology should complement and enhance the physical experience, rather than replace it.
Embracing the Human Touch
Among all the technological buzz, we were reminded of the value of human connection and the sensory experience of being present in cultural spaces. We agreed that technology can make art more accessible, but it’s the emotions and personal connections formed in person that truly leave a lasting impact. Our commitment to preserving the magic of physical art spaces while leveraging technology was strengthened.
Looking Towards the Future
The fair sparked our imagination about the future of cultural exploration. As technology continues to evolve, Visitr remains at the forefront of bridging the gap between the virtual and physical worlds. We left the fair with a renewed dedication to creating seamless virtual tours that respect the authenticity of art and the unique experiences offered by physical spaces.
Our experience at CM Malaga was unforgettable. We had the opportunity to share Visitr with a diverse audience and witness the incredible offerings from other companies in the cultural sector. As we move forward, Visitr will continue to lead the way in virtual tours, while keeping the essence of physical art experiences alive.
